Event Rules

General Rules for the event

-         Bring your own controller (and memory card of course) to use when you play.

-         Everyone is expected to participate in the Non-Op-I, Op-I, Street Fight, and Team Battle Tournaments.  Running the Gauntlet events are optional.  People without partners for Team Battle will have a partner randomly selected.

-         You will be able to switch ACs in between matches, but only to ACs on the same memory card save (and provided the ACs meet specific tournament rules).  You can however use different saves in the next round, but this rule applies to the ACs on that save.

-         I’ll be providing drinks, but, if you want to bring something in that’s fine.

-         Weapon Dropping (and picking up in battle) will be allowed.

-         Weapon Destruction will be turned on. (Unless noted otherwise)

-         Data Screens will be allowed.

-         Normal difficulty only.

-         No switching parts on ACs when a tournament has started.

Non-Op-I, Op-I, Street Fight & Team Battle Rules

Universal Tournament Rules

-         Non-Op-I, Op-I, and Team Battle will be using Single Elimination Tournament Rules.

-         Street Fight Tournament will be using Double Elimination Rules.

-         2 out of 3 round matches, except for finals, then its 3 out of 5.

-         Each match-up has a 5-minute timer, except for the Team Battle Tournament, which will have no timer on the rounds.

-    First round board will be random, every round afterwards will be in the “arena”

Specific Tournament Rules

Non-Op-I Tournament Rules

-    The Optional Part Intensify cannot be used by any ACs in this tournament.

Op-I Tournament Rules

-    The Optional Part Intensify must be used by all ACs in this tournament.

Street Fight Tournament Rules

-    Everything and anything in the game can be used in this Tournament.  All is allowed except for cheats.

Team Battle Tournament Rules

-    This is a Non-Op-I and Op-I tournament you can use either.

-    Teams will be battling under the “Team” rules for SL: AC, meaning there is no leader.

Running the Gauntlet Rules

-         Read below for specific Running the Gauntlet rules

-         No timer on Matches

-         This is a Non-Op-I and Op-I tournament you can use either.

-    Arenas will be randomly picked throughout the event

Running the Gauntlet rules  (less then 20 people)

Running the Gauntlet is a Battle Royal style of play, with 4 players at all times in the event.  The event is won on a scoring system, with the person with the highest score after 10 rounds (more rounds may be added depending on the amount of people who participate) being the winner.  Scoring for each round goes as follows:

1st eliminated- 0points

2nd eliminated- 3points

3rd eliminated- 7points

Victor of the round- 10 points, and goes to the next round.

By reading that, you should get a better idea of the event.  After a round, everyone who lost has to give up there spots for the other competitors to go into the next round and wait for there turn to come up again (people will get back into line per the order they were eliminated in the last round), whereas the winner gets to stay, not only gaining the most points from the previous round, but also gaining a chance to do it again in the next.  This will continue throughout the event, and at the end, the person with the most points, will win.

Running the Gauntlet (20 or more people)

If more then 20 people sign up for either Gauntlet event, the following rules will be used.  The participants of the event will be split into 2 groups, and each group will play on a station with 4 PS2s.  Then they will play the Gauntlet with the rules above, until all the rounds are over.  When each group has played through all their rounds, the 2 highest scoring people from each group will battle in 5 more rounds to determine the winner of the event.

Blading Rules

-         Weapon Breaking will be shut off for this event.

-         The following are the only weapons or types of weapons allowed in this event
