" Darkness of the Night"

And I saw a full moon rise,
A blind man gazing into a sea of darkness,
A child crying in the night.

"The Fine Line"

To dream is to do what can't be done, for all life is a dream. A time of guilt, a time for all things to be viewed in the right perspective. The right of the born to live, the right of the ill to die. A generation on the edge.

" The Man who would be King "

He was a bold man, hardened by a great many battles. And wisdom, he thought and we thought that he had that too. But the many years had taken their toll, much of his courage they had stole. He knew his weaknesses, some of his people did too. But his people didn't want weakness, they wanted wit and wisdom. Things now that he didn't have. So, one night, when the time was right The man who would be king took his horse and rode off into the night. Never to be seen again.

" The Hidden God "

In shadows I travel walking from one lifetime to another
Listlessly awaiting the coming of the dawn
To gaze upon the face of the Sun God
To hide away in my secret grove
Away from his dazzling light
To search forever, to never have the curse of the mortal coil
And the earth was filled with light.

" End of the Rainbow "

At the end of the rainbow is not a a pot of gold, But a small black kettle filled with water. The water is the tears of all those who sought and sought a treasure that did never exist.

" The Corruption of Man "

I take the goblet from her hands, I look into her clear blue eyes. The goblet contains eternal life.
I take a drink of this dark red liquid, I look into her eyes again. But, this time I see them glowing feverishly red, her lips curled in a mock smile
I kiss her, she kisses me. I feel a sharp pain, my life begins to fade away, my consciousness spiraling down into oblivion
The corruption of life begins.
I awaken to find myself in her arms, her dark eyes staring down at me. My heart racing, I gaze all around me as if a newly born child, first looking out into the world
I am safe now, safe from all of the pain that this world can ever give.
Was there ever really a choice, or has this destiny always been waiting in the darkness for me to embrace it ?

" life "

The dead man walks up to me and asks if I know the meaning of life
I look at him strangely, I ponder his question and his reasoning for asking it
He asks me again, do you know the meaning of life
Then I think to myself do I really care ? What is life, should I care
And I look into the mirror and see the reflection of someone that I do not know
And behind his eyes I see the heart, the soul, the mind of a stranger
All things change, that is the meaning of life.
