| National Institute of Health's Blood Bank | |||||||||||||||||||||

| Today I went to the National Institute of Health's blood bank. A blood bank is where people donate blood to help someone who is sick or help scientists in their research. Here is a photo of my host donating blood. I can only watch because you have to be 17 years old to donate. I'm looking forward donating because I want to grow up to be a responsible citizen. | Click for a larger view |

| My book of the day is Mud Flat Spring by James Stevenson. The town of Mud Flat is named after my relatives!! I've been very confused about spring since it was so cold in Minnesota and the tulips are starting to come up here in Maryland. I was glad to read that people in Mud Flat get confused, too! | |
