My book of the day is George Washington Carver by Gene Adair. I read this book as part of Black History Month. I learned that George Washington Carver was a Black man who graduated from Iowa State University in 1896, more than one hundred years ago. He worked in the south helping farmers with his plant skills. He knew alot about peanuts. George Washington Carver was a man who worked very hard, at a time when people didn't think Black people could be scientists. George Washington Carver by Gene Adair
