![]() On the rugged Welsh coast... ![]() is Tintagel, leagendary birthplace of King Arthur (though, there's not much left now) ![]() Apparently, it used to look like this. ![]() The way up to the island part is 'interesting' (That's the door in the tower at top-right) ![]() You can see where the old path used to be. The new path was built around 1976 when the old cliffs collapsed into the ocean. ![]() Looking down to the beach where they used to unload ships ![]() The hand-hewn storage tunnel ![]() Middle-age houses, on the cliff edge - some view! ![]() All possible safety precautions have been implemented ![]() The way down - step out onto the 50cm wide ledge, overlooking the 150m drop ![]() The only way to recover in Cornwall - eat a pastie! |
