08/01/2002: Paris
of the city to the other in around 15 minutes...
Being typical tourists, we headed off to the Arc de Triomphe
It's bigger than I imagined
If you climb the spiral stair, you can view the entire city from the top of the arch
One of the other minor landmarks in Paris is visable from up there
A lengthy walk via a sandwhich shop later, we came to the Louvre,
only to find it closed!
Overall, rather an impressive structure
There's another arch here too
Another long walk over the Seine...
