(We were too jet-lagged on day one to actually do anything) We headed off with a family friend to see a few of the more famous temples ![]() The Reclining Buddah is one of the largest in the world ![]() The hill temple is picturesque ![]() As you head up to the temple, you pass through the gardens... ![]() ...and through the new prayer hall ![]() From the top of the tower, you can see the entire complex.... ![]() ...and old farms on the hillside... ![]() ...and the large Buddah statue (apprarently, it was taller, but when other religious groups complained, it was lowered!) ![]() As you leave the tower, you can ring the bell and say a prayer ![]() Locals leave turtles at the temple to bring good luck (not sure about the turtles luck though) |
