Don't look for the return of the site anytime soon since nobody wants to pay the hosting fees for it. It was such a big success and it is so sad to see that it isn't there anymore. Let's hope that it will return in some form some day.

January 12,2002- Grammy Nominee
On CBS in late February, make sure that you catch the Grammy Awards where Aaliyah is yet again a nominee for Best R&B Vocal, Female for her song "Rock The Boat", she is also up against Mary J. Blidge, Alicia Keys, and India Arie, so much luck to Aaliyah for this one.

January 12,2002- American Music Awards
It's been a long time, but I'm back to tell you that if you missed it, Aaliyah was the winner of not one, but two American Music Awards for Best R&B Female and Best R&B Album. So congratulations to Aaliyah it is well deserved, all the hard work is finally paying off.

December 27,2001-Movie News
Queen of the Damned which was pushed back from October 5,2001 to February 15,2002. Now after all is said and done and the movie is now ready for promotion, expect to see the movie in theatres on February 22,2002. This movie was rumored to go straight to video which Warner Bros. quickly denied any notion of doing so. Out of over 1300 participants in a poll, the movie took first in most anticipated for February 15th. Of course it's not coming out that day, but still an impressive posting.

Sparkle is speculated to be terminated. Developement of the film never started which would of been under Warner Brother's and Whitney Houston's "Brown Productions" that was also in charge of The Princess Diary's. Aaliyah was the only cast member casted, so the diva-filled movie is likely gone from te table.

Make sure you check out the official Queen of the Damned website, the movie is due out in February,2002. And it looks like the fans are going to have to do a lot of promoting for this movie. It's a hot website, you can catch the trailer, pictures, official movie poster, and much more.

The 10th best in music according to Tie Magazine is Aaliyah's third Blackground self-titled release, Aaliyah. Here's what the short description on page 82 had to say:

A siren of subtlety, never wailing when a whisper would do, she blended genres with alluring ease. For her, hip hop/soul and muted alternative rock came together as easily as lovers interlocking fingers. A plane crash claimed Aaliyah's life in August, but on her last CD her soul is forever in flight.

While Rock The Boat is still burning up the number one spot on BET's 106&Park, her foreign debut of More Than A Woman is going to hit the U.S. land on her birthday according to many different fans.

Aaliyah was listed in a magazine as being replaced by a New Zealand singer turned actress for her roles in the Matrix that could not support the second or third sequol roles.

A few months ago, Rashad was on TRL and he did say that Aaliyah had a few videos and songs in her for future releases.

December 17,2001-Autograph Scams
Many of us know that people are trying to scam us by forging Aaliyah's signatures on printed pictures on Ebay.com. Though some may be real, other signature companies are providing more autographs than Aaliyah could of signed in 22 years. And some have visual photo proof but they use the same picture for a thousand different auctions. I'm sure that Aaliyah didn't spend hours signing autographs for a company at a movie premier.

December 17,2001-Losing Aaliyah
I don't know the legitimacy of this information, but many people recieved priate emails about the Losing Aalyah video/dvd. The person claimed to be a person who knew Aaliyah who didn't like the video. She said it was rather distasteful because it was not presented by Blackground(Aaliyah's People), mispronounced song names and couldn't say Aaliyah's name right.
