On July 13, 1931, FranCia Beth was born in Springboro, OH, the third of five children to the union of Sherman Sr. and Margaret Fleetwood. Of her siblings, two, Sherman Jr, and Harriet Fleetwood Bennett have preceded her in death.
FranCia was raised in Franklin, OH and was a graduate of Middletwon High School in 1951. While attending school, she worked as an assistant for Dr. Wells, D.D.S. She also provided childcare.
FranCia accepted Christ at an early age. She was a faithful memner of Brown Chapel A.M.E. Church for over 30 years.
On January 2, 1952, she was united in marriage to Richard H. Davis, and to this union, one daughter, Regina was born.
In 1960, FranCia graduated from the Southern Ohio Business College in Business Administration. Upon graduation, she was employed at Good Samaritan Hospital for over 20 years as an administrative Associate.
On December 12, 1981, she was happily united in marriage to Jack Ramsey who preceded her in death.
FranCia was a self taught seamstress. In addition to thanking God everyday, she dresses for success. Dressing in beautiful outfits was therapeutic for her. Those who really understood her and what she was baout, knew her outfits helped define who she was; and defining who she was, helped combat her illnes. An important part of who she was, was her compassion and concern for others. She reached out, she touched, she tried to make this world a better place.
God blessed FranCia with the gift of compassion and love for others. We will remember her bright smile (Dimples), compassion and love for her fellow oncology patients. She was truly a witness for our Lord and Savior, and an avid prayer warrior.
FranCia was loved by many. Throughout the years, many names of endearment have been bestowed upon her: Mama, Grandma, GiGi, FranCia, Francie, Frances, Frankie, Fran, Franny, Frank, Dimples, Ms. Ramsey, and the Lady of Hats. So, whatever you addressed her as, you were speaking of love.
She leaves to cherish her loving memory: her devoted daughter, Regina Allen (Joseph); one sister Evangelist Dorothy Anderson; two brothers Reverend William F. Freeman (Doris) and Ralph White; sister-in-law Barbarba Fleetwood; three grandchildren, Joseph Ian (Shana), Rashad Kareem and Kilah Makarim; one great-grandson Noah Joseph and Jeriann Akken (Noah's mother); and a host of loving family members nad friends.
FranCia was blessed with one daughter, but was a mother to many: Mary Young, Rhobda Taldo, Spring Woodfork, Maraget Lawson, tereasa Williams, Pamela Anderson, Michelle Standifer and Diane Payton. FranCia will be missed by all of us.
