AH-64 Apache

This is number 5 in my "semi-vertical" flight series. If you've tried my
Cobra or Chinook you might be suprised by this one- I've gotten rid of most
of the nasty habits they have: flaps can now be deployed at any airspeed
without losing control, spoilers aren't needed to slow down, and it's a lot
more stable in pitch at higher speeds. You still need seperate rudder pedals
- VERY sensitive in yaw at high speed, and it won't fly quite as slow- about
10 kts straight and level.

Takeoff- full flaps, full throttle: about 10 foot ground roll

Slow flight- up to 25 kts with full flaps, 50 kts with 1 notch

Landing- apply flaps at any speed, you will "balloon" up slightly at high
speed, control rate of descent with power, touch down at about 10 kts
