De Havilland DHC-2 Beaver
*************************

This is my 5th plane for the FSFORUM and the first in the Post WWII
period. My selection of this plane was inspired by the remarkable scenery
of the Pacific Northwest produced by Chris Perez and Tony Nogales. A
number of Beaver floatplanes continue to fly in this beautiful section
of the USA.

The Beaver had it's maiden flight on Aug.16,1947. It has seen extensive
service in both civilian and military roles. This particular plane is a
composite of planes depicted in paintings by Canadian and American artists,
and as described in Rand McNally World Aircraft 1935-1960.

FSFS is required to fly this plane. Load the *.AIR and *.STN files in your
FLTSIM5\Pilots directory and the *.AF files in your FLTSIM5\Texture directory.
I have included a situation file to place the plane in a water environment.
After lifting off hit the forward slash key (/) to display the float bottoms.
Likewise just before touchdown hit that key to submerge the bottoms.

Your comments are always welcome and sometimes inspire other planes. If you
know how to create splash at contact with the water please let me know.
