This airplane requires BAO's Flight Shop and Microsoft Flight
Simulator 5.0a or 5.1.

    Engines: 1 X 25,353 lb st Tumansky R-29
    Normal T/O Wieght: 34,172 lbs
    Length: 52 ft 5 in
Wing span (spread): 45 ft 7 in
    Maximum Speed: Mach 1.7
    Ferry Range: 1,553 miles

First flown in 1973, the MiG-27 is a dedicated ground attack
version of the prolific MiG-23. The primary visual difference between
the Mig-27 and the MiG-23 is the replacement of the -23's ogival radome
with a well armored 'duck' nose. This model is armed with two AS-11
'Kilter' air to surface missiles. My research indicates that the -27's
are not capable of launching the radar homing AS-11's but I didn't find
this out until I was already done with them. Live with it. ;-)

The wings of this plane automatically retract/extend at 325 kts.

This plane, like many Russian/Soviet tactical combat planes needs
very little runway. I've been able to get this model off the ground in
less than 1800 ft with a light fuel load.

This model is a complete rework of Standesky's top notch original
FS4 model. His original model is very good, but like most FS4 planes,
it's biggest drawback is the lack of detail and subtlety of shape.
This is attributeable to the limitations of FS4 because almost all
FS4 models suffer the same problems.

  Many Thank's to:

...Standesky - For making his FS4 .afx file available to the
                         flight-sim community.

...Mike Vidal - For educating me on the in's and out's of the FDE.
