Flintstonz Co. is the name of a Young Enterprise Company taking part in the Young Enterprise Program 2001/2002, set up by a team of 13 acheivers of the 1st year 6th Form students from De La Salle College.

Young enterprise is a non-profit organization founded in 1988 to forge links between schools and industry. Its mission is to inspire and educate young people to understand and value the role of business, through practical business projects which develop attitudes and skills for personal success, lifelong and employability.

The company will market and provide traditional Maltese products from January till the end of June, when the program ends. Our mission statement is : "To provide a typical Maltese product using stone in a traditional way in order to revive and maintain the Maltese culture and strengthen youth awareness of our inherited treasures."

We, as members who set up this company have elected several function directors, raised share capital and are gradually becoming aware of all the business opportunities that are lying ahead of us. We have committed ourselves to hard work and are determined to acheive all their goals. Production and weekly meetings are held out in the company`s own workshop to be found within the school premises.

We believe we do not succeed by winning, but on the contrary, we win by succeeding and by deriving consumer satisfaction. Our goals are to experience to the full the concept of learning by doing and this includes the experience of teamwork, production and business know-how behaviour. We plan to achieve all our objectives and derive maximum satisfaction from them.
