Setting Me Free

With your arms wrapped around me,
And your lips against my neck,
You've set my dying soul free

Without your even knowing,
You're only sitting here with me,
I start silently crying

These tears, filled with emotion,
Stream down my dark, quiet face,
My heart has raveled undone

You notice one of the tears,
And as you're kissing it away,
You're ridding me of my fears

Although you don't stop kissing,
And trust me, it's okay,
I know what you're doing

Searching my soul for unanswered prayers
And soon, as you will find, my mind
And soul have many confusing layers

I've been hurt, many times over
By guys who thought I was a toy
Hurt so much, now it's just a blur

And then of course, there was you,
Your eyes probing my dark past,
Who will never be untrue

You held me and told me how
Everything would be fine,
I think that I love you now

And now I can't be alone
I must always be with you
You're the love I've never known
