Categories: Music events at Flood Brook School * African Drummer Steve Leicach will be coming to FB as an Artist in Residence to teach the 3rd and 7th graders how to play African hand drums and rhythms during the first week in April. There will be a culminating concert for the community, (most likely date will be Friday, April 4, 2003). * The Flood Brook 7/8 Rock band will be giving a performance in mid March. Other Kinds of Flood Brook Music News updated 2/12/03 * 3rd graders have been learning how to play mini keyboards. * 4th graders are about to begin to learn to play the recorder. * 5th graders are working hard on creating their own raps and putting them to music * 6th graders have begun composing their own midi compositions. Mike Turk’s Band; “ROCK IN THE FIRE” Where they are playing soon.  *Friday, Feb. 14th 2003, special Valentine’s day benefit concert at The Chester Music Shoppe in Chester, VT. 6-9 PM All ages welcome. Food, beverages and wine for adults will be provided along with childcare and entertainment by Cheryl the Clown. Tickets are $12 in advance, children are free.
