| where did the name FLOPPY DOG PRODUCTIONS come from? that's my little secret. haha, actually, it's a long story and you'll be lucky to hear it! who's the dog on the main page? that dog is my dog. her name is MEG, she's a rat terrier and is about three years old. she currently has the honor of being the FLOPPY DOG mascot and you will see her on FLOPPY DOG merchandise. she's the sweetest, but most hyper dog you'll meet, and if you get to work with us you will be sure to meet her at least once. are all the productions going to be plays that you've written? no, although our first play will be not all of them will be. i am hoping one day to do productions of CATS, JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR, CABARET and others. why did you choose JULIET AND ROMEO as your first play? no one has heard of it. well, for several reasons. one, if i did something that was in the public domain i could rewrite it and not have to worry about all the legal mess. two, since this is a new theater group i thought it would be a good move to start out with something fresh and different. three, most of the well known musicals and plays such as CATS or JCS are very costly becuase of rights, set, and costumes. it would be very difficult just to raise enough money to do something like that when you're just starting out. since i'm writing my own script or rewriting it whichever way you want to say it, there will be no cost of buying rights, and the set, although nice, won't be as costly. are you going to post the script on this web site? once i am through with it, and have it copyrighted yes, i will post if for anyone who is interested. what exactly is JULIET AND ROMEO about? well, it, of couse, is based on SHAKESPEAR'S ROMEO AND JULIET. set in modern times, JULIET AND ROMEO puts a enchanting twist on the well known and loved play. this play will take you into the most dramatic and mysterious parts of theater and change the way you view ROMEO AND JULIET forever.
