Dr. Derek Gray was the chair-man of the Expo Science Internationale (ESI) 97' in Pretoria, South Africa in July 1997. More than anybody else, Derek has introduced me into the world of International Expo Sciences and into the world of MILSET activities. Derek dedicated all his time to Young Scientists activities in South Africa and around the world, and to the success of the ESI 97'. The ESI 97' was, indeed, a great success, and I wish Derek had still been amongst us at the ESI 99' in Puebla, Mexico, to fulfill his wish, namely to climb onto the top of a Mexican pyramid.
