I never planned to be a dog owner .
Out of sheer boredom one day
I visited the Animal Shelter .
As you might know , it's a sad place ,
a death row for dogs missing masters .
Duke stood out from all the rest ,
he seemed very noble and well-behaved
amongst the canine frenzy .
For me it was love at first sight ....

Duke has become an important part of our lives .
His demeanor and charm make him loveable to all .
