Thanks
to all those who came out to see the performance by Bailes Ferrer this past weekend. It was many months of hard work and at times very
stressful but it was certainly all worth it! Here are some pictures
from the past few weeks leading up to the Festival. (08/10/06)

A
couple of days ago, I was invited to go on a special tour of the new Miami
Performing Arts Center (MPAC). I was excited to take a peek at
this state-of-the-art, $450 million facility, and was thoroughly impressed
by its beauty and functionality. MPAC is the largest performing arts
complex built in the US since the Kennedy Center (1971) in Washington, DC,
and the Ziff Ballet Opera House is the second largest opera house in the
US after the Met in NYC. The first flamenco performance that I know of coming here is Eva Yerbabuena's Eva, on
December 2 & 3. Here are some photos from the tour. (Click

building on the right is the old Sears Tower, which they had to
preserve (houses a coffee shop on the ground level and AC generators
for the opera house). There will be a row of 60+ story condo
buildings going up in the surrounding area. |

have not been able to update the website recently because I am in the
