What's the Difference between the State National Guard &  a Militia group? Well in the Webster's dictionary it says, "The organized militia in each State: It can be activated into the U.S. Army."
But Thomas Jefferson said, "A group of citizens that provide their own weapons. And do their own training. Also can be called up by the local and State government.
Well the National Guard don't supply their weapons, and they don't train themselves. They can be called up by State and Federal government. They also can serve overseas during wartime.
So it seems to us, that the National Guard can not be a militia. And the elected officials can not deny citizens the right to form a militia. But interpret this for yourself.
