2001-2002

This is the first set of pics from after I got my legal name change in September. I had started wearing my hair in bangs, which I think looks really good on me and helps to soften my face. The latter pics are of my interview outfit; what I usually wore when I went for job interviews. No jacket because Indiana is still very hot in September! Then the last two pics are from Christmas, and the outfit I wore for Midnight Mass.

In this next set, the first couple of pics are from New Years 2002, when I went out to an Irish bar with my ex so we could celebrate, have a couple of drinks, and listen to some folk music. Next to them are a couple from August when we went out to dinner the night before she left to move to Maine. So my ex-spouse and still best friend is no longer nearby to do things with, though we still keep in touch by phone.

This set is from my 40th birthday in October. To "celebrate" I went out to dinner & the theater by myself. It was rather bittersweet; I had made it to living fulltime before 40, but didn't have anyone to share it with! The upside was that at least I look pretty good for forty!
