Bahia Honda State Park
In my opinion, this is the most beautiful state park in the Florida keys. We travel to the keys every summer for a week or two to soak up the sun and snorkel. The turquoise blue water is unbeleivable. Bahia Honda is our favorite place to visit for its beautiful beaches and its rare Silver Palms and many other interesting and rare fauna that you will find only on Bahia Honda. Its rich history dates back to the early 1900s when Henry Flagler was building the famous rail road that "went to sea". There are two beaches of white sand, one on the Atlantic and one on the Gulf (or "bay side" as the locals say.)  The entire key is the property of the state and is established today as Bahia Honda  State Park.  If you are ever planning a trip to the Florida Keys, dont miss it!
