Penny 8yr old female:Penny is my most well rounded and versatille dogs I own, She was started on the oregon coast and was striking piss posts on bobcat from the rig at 4 months old, by the age of 11 months she had already been under approx 45-47 bobcat trees. Shes as gamey of a dog as I have ever owned. Shes a very cold nosed start and strike dog, excellent strike dog on cat, I don't care to box her on bear because mostly what she strikes will be to old to trail around on. Penny is a straight chop mouthed dog on track and tree, uses her mouth well according to a track. She is an intense treedog, many times I will arive at the tree to find her 15 foot up, face to face with her quarry. She bays a bear as tight as you would want a dog , I have nearly lost her from to close of  incounters, she had spinal trauma from a bear slap that left her paralized for a few days and I thought she was'nt going to make it.  Pennys offspring, casper, scout, and blitz are carrying some of her great traits as a well rounded biggame hound.
ENJOY FEW PICTURES OF PENNY
Come down and play with me!
15 foot up in a bear tree
LEFT: Hard part of hunting the lower juniper trees and climbing dogs, when they see the bobcat their gonna climb as Penny, Molly and Luke demonstrate.
RIGHT: Penny treed on an Idaho bear mid July of 2001, Penny has a reputation as a cat dog but is also a top notch bear dog. Not only she hunts for me but also has caught several problem lions in Oregon with the U.S.D.A. Department of Wildlife Services in Malheur County
