Ana was asleep in her apartment; it was 5:30 am Monday morning when her alarm clock went off. And like every morning she hit it very hard in frustration to turn it off (not wanting to get up). When she finally decides she couldn't be late for school she gets out of bed, takes a shower, eats some cereal, and gets ready for another busy day. Ana lives alone, supposedly (when she was about four years old) her parents and her were in a plane crash, she has no idea if she has any living relatives (but it doesn't really bother her). After the plane crash she could only remember her name (Ana-liese (Ana for short) Ophelia Macbeth).
(Back to the present) Ana was on her way to school, like always she would go to her first class; she didn't have any real friends. But she didn't really care; she was far too busy to have friends anyway. It was about 2:18 p.m. when she got out of school, as soon as she got out she headed to a local performing arts college, where she took classes (acting, dance, music) after school and teaches (little kids) on the weekends. During her break between classes, she bought a cheeseburger at McDonald's and went to the zoo to see her (only) friend; a white tiger named Snowy. Like always she would eat and talk to Snowy about everything that was happening, she always thought it was funny how Snowy would act, it was almost like she new exactly what Ana was saying. All the staff at the zoo always thought Ana was crazy because she would pet Snowy as if she were a house cat, but it was funny somehow Ana knew that Snowy would never hurt her. As her break was just about over she said goodbye to Snowy; (snowy meowed back) and she began to walk back to college. She arrived at her fourth class seconds before it started. When her last class ended she began to walk out but her teacher stopped her. "Ana can I talk to you for a minute?" "Sure Steven, what's up?" replied Ana.
"Well" said Steven, "I know how hard you've been working, what with going to school, taking extra classes here, and trying to support yourself by teaching." Ana nodded, not knowing where he was going with this conversation. "And I know that your teaching doesn't pay a lot, well one of my friends is looking for someone to teach multiple classes at his performing arts college, and since I know you know hot to teach multiple classes I told him you might be interested."
"Umm..." is all Ana could say.
"Well let me tell you some more about the job, " Steven said knowing Ana was confused. "It pays a lot more then this job, and it provides a VERY nice apartment, and the rent is cheaper then what you paying for your apartment right now, so what do you say?"
Ana was speechless for a few minutes, then she blurted out. "I say tell your friend he's got himself a teacher!"
Laughing Steven said, "Ok, well I have to start my next class, and it's getting dark out you should head home."
"Oh, OH yeah, hehe... I should get my homework done, oh when do I start the new job?" "Next week!" "Ok, um where is it anyway?"
"Dementerville, Ohio." Steven replied.
"Hmmm I don't think
I've heard of it, oh well I gotta go, thanx, bye bye."
"No problem Ana, bye!"
Ana was SO excited walking home she just had to tell Snowy, when she got there she was about to tell her everything, when she heard a girl screaming. "Huh, what is that?" She went to check it out, and then she was it. Some kind of monster was attacking a helpless girl. Ana, getting angry threw a rock at the monster.
"Hey why don't you pick on someone your own size!"
The monster looked at Ana, and grinned. "Oh, you mean someone like you?"
Then the monster picked up Ana and threw her five feet with ease. "Owww, ugh that hurt, grrr that stupid monster. Why I should, I should, I should..."And then as Ana's blood was boiling, a blue music symbol, with a heart around it, and an icicle through it, appeared on her forehead. Snowy saw it, and when she saw it she knew Ana was Sailor Icesis.
Like a speed of light Snowy ran to Ana. "Huh, snowy what are you doing out of your cage?" And to Ana's surprise Snowy replied with words. "Look there's not time to explain, take this!" Snowy jumped in the air
and a silver stick with the same symbol that was on Ana's forehead, on the top.
"Raise it in the air and shout Icesis Star Power."
"Huh, Snowy you can TALK, whoa maybe that burger I ate was bad."
"Ana just DO IT!"
Ana still confused decided it couldn't get any weirder, so she did what Snowy said. She took the stick raised it in the air and shouted "Icesis Star Power". And to Ana's surprise she transformed into Sailor Icesis, she ran back to where the monster was.
"Hey slimeball, it's not that easy to get rid of me!"
"Huh, who are you?"
"I am Sailor Icesis, and I'm your worst nightmare, buddy!"
The monster chuckled, "Ha, bring it on girlie!"
And at that, the monster threw a huge lightning bolt at Ana.
Ana barely dodged it, "Ahhhhhhh!!!" Ana began to run and dodge the monster's attacks, finally Ana had enough. "Alright, that's it!" she said, and ran towards the monster, dodging it's attacks. Just as the monster was about to throw another lightning bolt at Ana, Ana kicked it as hard as she could in its stomach, knocking the wind of it. Then out of nowhere Ana shouted, "Symphony Ice Tiger, DESTROY!" And at that a huge spear of water that looks exactly like a tiger shot towards the
monster, followed by very sharp ice in the shape of music notes.
"AHHHHHHH," screamed the monster as Ana's attack destroyed it.
"I told you I was your worst nightmare," Ana said.
Then Snowy came up behind her and said, "Well done Ana!"
"Thanx Snowy...so I guess I'm not dreaming, and that burger wasn't bad, and this is all
real...I'm Sailor Icesis." "Yes you are correct Ana, and let me properly introduce myself...I am Snowy, I am a so to speak a kissing cousin of the moon cats, and I am your guardian." While Ana was listening to Snowy she noticed that there was a blue crescent moon with a snowflake on the right corner, on her forehead.
"I see, well we can't have my guardian living in a zoo, so you can live with me...the only thing is I don't think people will be too happy with me if I have a tiger living in my apartment."
"Oh well that's taken care of, I can disguise myself as a house cat, only you will be able to see my true form."
Snowy continued "So, um, what were you going to tell me earlier, when you came to the zoo?" "Oh yeah, well..." and Ana told her everything about the new job on there way home.
Back at the apartment Ana laid down to get some sleep after a very exciting and tiring day, Snowy jumped on the bed and lay down beside her. Snowy purred as Ana pet her; "You know what I've figured out twice in my life, that thing can change SO much in just one day." And with that they both fell into a deep sleep.
Next week Ana and Snowy arrived in Dementerville...
"Ana, hi, I'm David...Steven's friend." "Oh, hello nice to meet you!" They shake hands; "Well I'm so glad you decided to take the job, you'll be starting on Saturday, if that's ok with you?"
"Oh yes that's fine."
"Great! Well let me show you to your new apartment!"
They get into Ana's car; David drives because Ana doesn't know where to go.
They only drive for a minute. "I tried to get you the nicest apartment, that's close to the college for you, here let me help you with your bags."
"Thank you!" Ana said.
David and Ana brought all the bags to Ana's apartment door. "Well here is the key to your apartment, I'm sure you're tired, and I have to get back to the college. I hope you feel comfortable in your apartment, if you need anything just call me."
He gives Ana his phone number, "Thank you, bye!"
"Bye!" replied David.
"Well Snowy here we go!" Ana gets out the key in the lock, turns the key, and opens the door. Ana's and Snowy's jaws drop.
"OH MY GOD!"
"Look at this apartment, it's HUGE, and look at this view, whoa Snowy look there's a balcony!"
"Ana this apartment is amazing!"
"I know, I'm liking this place already."
"Me too!" Snowy said.
Ana spent the next four hours unpacking, then she decided she should get some sleep, she's gotta start school tomorrow.
"Man, Snowy how do you read these things?" Ana and Snowy are walking down the street. Ana is trying to read a map, while snowy is walking beside her trying to find the high school. Then Ana not looking where she is going crashes into someone.
"Owwwww!" yells Ana.
"Hey why don't you watch where you're going?" says the guy who Ana crashes into.
"Oh I'm sorry, I was trying to read this map, I'm new here and I'm sorta lost."
"Oh it's ok, maybe I can help, where are you trying to go?"
"The high school" replies Ana.
"Oh hey I'm on my way there, why don't you walk with me?"
"Ok, thanx!"
"No problem, my name is Christian by the way."
"Nice to meet you, I'm Ana."
They go to shake hands and as soon as there hands touch, they both had this feeling they've known each other forever. They look deep into each other's eyes for at least two minutes (still holding hands), and then finally Christian lets go of Ana's hand and smiles/grins at her, making Ana blush. Then they smile at each other and proceed to walk, and talk to the high school. And Ana thought to herself, I'm definitely gonna like it here...
