Katrina went through the usual rush to get to school. When she got there, on time for once, she saw Stephen talking to Christian, his best friend. Katrina went over and said her hellos. Christian was telling Stephen about this cool new girl he had met. Christian paused and said, "Hey Katrina, you're a girl. Do you think Ana Macbeth likes me?"
Katrina coughed and said, "Who?"
Christian clarified, "That girl I've been talking about. Do you think she could like me?"
Katrina replied, "Well, you are pretty cute and nice, so she could. I don't know her though. She sounds nice though, maybe I could show her around school or something."
Christian smiled and said, "While you're talking to her you could mention some of my virtues... We connected, but I want to see if it's real."
Katrina sighed and said, "I don't know you that well, that list might look very short. I'll see what I can do. I need to go to class, bye."
Stephen was a little angry that Katrina hadn't done more then said hi to him. He her best friend after all.
Katrina found Ana in her lunch period. Ana was sitting by herself flipping though a book about cat care. As she got closer she heard Ana grumbling something along the lines of 'no tigers, you'd think...'. Ana looked up when Katrina got with in a few feet of her table. Katrina held her hand out and said, "I'm Katrina, do you mind if I sit here today?"
Ana shook her hand and said, "I'm Ana. Go ahead and sit down. There's plenty of room here, I'm new."
Katrina said, "I noticed your book. Did you just get a cat?"
Ana thought a moment and said, "Yeah. It's an adult cat though. She keeps me company in my apartment."
Katrina said, "Cool. You have you own apartment! Must get lonely sometimes though. I have a cat too."
Ana asked, "What do you people do for fun around here? I work, but I have time to hang out."
Katrina looked into the air and thought. She slowly listed, "Well, we have the Dementerville Mall but that can get boring, we have the Dementerville Sanitarium nobody wants to go there, we have a Dementer Chicken Factory that isn't a place to go..., and we have the park. The park is a cool place to hang out and enjoy nature. You have to be careful there though, they don't have anyone to enforce rules so you might run into fellow students doing some sort of bad behavior, it is safe though."
The two continued to talk and hit it off very well and became good friends.
A few weeks later as Ana walked with Katrina to her house...
Ana asked Katrina, "Whould you go to the movies with Christian, myself, and a few of his friends? I'd feel better going with you along, you know girl support."
Katrina said brightly, "Sure. What movie are we seeing?"
Ana shugged and slowed down to keep pace with Katrina, who liked to take in the clear warm day's sights. She then said, "I'm not sure. I think we are just going to debate it when we get there."
Katrina grinned and said, "We might have a problem with that... I like to argue, and get things my own way," she laughed, "we should have fun anyway. I wonder if Stephen is going?"
Ana said, "I can tell you like Stephen. Don't even try to fool me. Why don't you ask him out?"
Katrina replied, "No, I'm too shy. Besides I like the way things are, I have a good friend and a cute guy to dream about. Part of the reason I like him as much as I do is that'll never happen. Thus making it safe to dream."
Ana didn't quite understand but got the gist of it.
At the movies...
Ana said, "Let's see that movie, I've heard it's good."
Katrina pointed to the scifi movie and said, "How 'bout that one?"
Stephen said, "That's a stupid movie can't we just watch an action?"
They continued to debate, but elsewhere in Dementerville an evil mind plotted. He was Larfiz. A totally insane evil guy who had just escaped Dementerville Sanitarium, home to the most powerful anti-senshi people around. He also decided that for his first strike of revenge on Dementerville citizens would to attack the movie theater in Dementer Mall. He was attacking there because he sensed senshi around that area. They were the ones who sent him to the Sanitarium in the first place. He sent the youma, Charley Calorie.
So while our group of friends watched a comedy, a monster that resembled a giant piece of popcorn with legs and arms approached the theater. The monster began attacking teens while they waited to buy a movie ticket by spraying little pieces of popcorn that had teeth and bit them and a carmel coating to freeze them in place as the popcorn stole their energy.
Mean while our heros heard the screams and Katrina said hurridly, "I have to go to the bathroom."
Then Ana said, "Me too."
Then one of the other boys with them sighed and said, "Girls and bathrooms. Isn't that typical."
Both girls ran into a stall and morphed into sailor scouts. When they came out they looked at each other and said at the same time, "Who are you?" The two introduced themselves in scout form recognizing who each other really were. They then ran out to vanquish the monster.
They saw the monster working its way though the whole theater and got ready to fight. Sailor Dragonspaw shouted, "Hey you. You have no right interfering with good natured fun. In the name of all true dragons I will punish you!"
Sailor Icesis shouted, In the name of the ice and tigers I will punish you too!"
The monster roared and said, "I am Charley Calorie and in addition to stealing your energy I will make you really fat! Take this!" And the threw the biting popcorn at them.
The scouts didn't move fast enough and got the brunt of the attack. They looked like giant pieces of lint they were so covered in popcorn. Then the Draco Knight and Ice lord arrived. They brushed off as much popcorn as they could and Ice Lord said, "You hurt Sailor Icesis so you must be destroyed."
Draco Knight said, "Ditto. Except for it being Sailor Dragonspaw."
The two guys lept at Charley and hit him in his puffy center. The monster is unaffected and smashes the guys against a wall. Stunned they lay there. Sailor Icesis shouts, "Symphony Ice Tiger, Freeze!"
A stream of ice the shape of a tiger shot out and froze Charley where he was.
Sailor Dragonspaw shouts, "Draskin go!" As she throws the arm cuff into the air and points at Charley.
Draskin becomes a real bird and lets out a loud screech and Charley shatters.
The girls looked over where the two guys were and see nothing but air. Then Sailor Dragonspaw said, "Welcome to Dementerville, Sailor Icesis. And welcome to the team."
Larfiz looked into the mirror beside his chair. He saw himself. He's a beanstalk thin man with short severly cut brown hair. His face was thin and his cloths were made from tinfoil. They were tight showing his lack of muscle tone. He's in a dingy basement with bad lighting. He muttered to himself, "A basement. Will I always be here? This stinks. I can't wait until I have enough energy to make my own place. A basement, how undignified. Where are Naska and Norif? Where is that monster... Popcorn Fat? Charley Calorie? Yeah. I don't have enough energy yet..."
Naska slowly walked forward, eyes lowered, and waited until Larfiz noticed her. When he did she looked at him with puppy dog adoring eyes and said quietly, "Forgive me Larfiz. I have to tell you bad news. Although the monster you sent out collected energy. There is not as much as hoped and the monster has been destroyed by two sailor scouts."
Larfiz looked calm for a moment and then started screaming obscenities in another language. Naska flushed with shame even though it wasn't her fault. Naska waited before talking again.
Finally Larfiz stopped. Then Naska said, "It's so great to see you out of that place. Now you can work with me again. Just like in the old days."
Norif appeared in the basement and said, "Don't forget me Naska. We're a team, don't go off without me just 'cause you found yourself a guy you like."
Naska flushed and glared at Norif as she said, "Of course Norif would be in our team... unless you mind."
Larfiz looked at the them and considered. He then said,"Only if the two work for me. I don't need any partners."
Norif wanted to stay with Naska so he said, "Deal."
