Déagian Gár Wulfhund
... time will tell, when the inner wolf awakens

Meeting Moire

"Ah, we have been expecting you." A booming yet feminine voice seemingly flows around you in the cold, clinging to you before the wind proves strong enough to break it up. You are very confused. You are not quite sure how you got to this place. One second you were home safe in your bed, the next you are completely awake, with a fur coat being the only thing between you and the blistering cold winter store you seem to be in. The world is a flur of snowflakes, and it is hard to see more then a couple feet in front of you. "Who are you?" you scream out into the cold. But you are not answered with a voice this time, this time you see someone approaching you.

At first she is a red blur, but as she comes closer you can see her more clearly. She is very fair in complexion, but her eyes and hair are terribly dark. Her body is carressed with red in a clothing type similar to a komono, with a bit of white fur hear and there. She stands looking at you stoically, not moving. The only movement is coming from her clothes as the wind whips them violently into one direction and the next. You stare at her for a moment then ask, "Aren't you freezing?". "No" she says definitively, her voice echoing with some unknown power. She turns to walk away, but before you can protest she speaks again. "Come with me."

You have no idea where you are going, and your only hope is that she does. You make sure that she is at least a blur in your vision, not letting her get to far away from you. Soon you come upon a mound of white, something that looks like a hill. It has no doors that you can see. The mysterious woman slowly bends down and touches the mound. Where she touched, a glowing light now grows into what appears to be a portal. She walks into it, and you watch her body quickly sink into the portal like she stepped into deep water. You run towards the portal, not trusting it to stay open, and jump though.

You land on the ground painfully, and you talk a moment to get up and look around. It looks to be the inside of a cottage. A fire place roars with fire farthest from you, and two comfortible looking couches face it, both red. Actually everything in this place is red, or at the very least reddish brown. You notice the woman carefully seated in one of the couches, staring into the fire, with what looks to be a bunch of dogs curled up around her feet. Stepping closer, one growls at you and you realize that it is not at all a dog, but in fact a wolf. The woman smiles at you, and seemingly tells the dog to stop in some language you can't understand.

"My name is Moire." she offers, her voice continuing to echo as if she was in some sort of other dimention, despite the fact she was no more then a couple feet away. You eye the dog...wolf things, ignoring the woman for a moment. They are all colored similarly to Huskies, but were definatly not, and on top of that, had brightly colored manes, that seemed to be the genuine fur, and not just a dye job. Her laughter bubbles in your mind and you can't help but look at her. "You would have reason to be worried if you were alone, but since you are not, please do sit and make yourself comfortible. They will not harm you, long as I am here." You do as she says and sit, rather stiffly however.

"You are in Dreamtime." she says before you can even ask. "What is Dreamtime?" you ask, though you figure it has something to do with being asleep. "It is where immortals live, and where the living mortals can visit." she says simply, only filling you with more questions. "You mean it's like heaven? Am I dead?" your last question holds a hint of panic. "No, you are not dead, and No it is not heaven. There is no such thing as heaven. There are only 4 dimentions in this world, and heaven is not one of them." You found your head spinning before you even knew what happened. Why was everything that came out of her mouth so confusing. Speaking of Heaven and Dimentions and Dreamtime, serves you right for asking such questions you suppose. The most important thing is that you are not dead.

"Well then, what exactly is Dreamtime? And you said you had been expecting me?" you ask, slightly annoyed with your confusion and her confusing words. "Dreamtime is where immortals live, and where the living mortals can visit," she repeats "Mortals visit by dreaming. And yes, I have been expecting you. You see," she says showing you the wolves at your feet with a carress of the hand in the air, "These are the Déagian Gár Wulfhunds, or DGWs. They are the 'missing link' if you will, between dreamtime wolves and the now mortal 'huskies' as you so call them. They were breed to be made into the mortal dogs they slowly became, however, there are still a few pure blooded DGW that did not turn into 'huskies'. They are becoming more numberous now, and we are needing more and more guardians for them. We have decided that mortals will be best for them, as they crave to be around them. You are one of the choosen few to care for them. Will you not help us care for them?"
