General Voyager:

Fall 1996

This was written before 'Q and the Gray,' and was in response to the rumors (unfortunately since confirmed) that Chakotay will get to go to bed with a Space Babe. His mental capabilities may or may not have been impaired.

And TPTB are worried about turning Voyager into a Soap Opera--which they believe putting Janeway and Chakotay into an committed relationship would make the show.

I'd write a general disclaimer, but I don't want these characters as written and so Paramount can keep them.

Tom Paris looked at Harry. "Have you heard, there's a space-babe aboard the ship. She and the Commander are apparently totally bonkers over each other."
"I bet the Captain isn't too happy about that. Any idea where she is from?"
"No to the last question. The Captain isn't talking to him now. She is furious and is taking her anger out on everybody."
"Wow, I'm glad I didn't have bridge duty today," Harry responded.
"We had to do a counter-evasive drill five times before she passed us. And the Commander...if looks could kill."
"What does she expect, she's ignored him ever since their return from New Earth, I mean did they or didn't they? No one knows--I'm not even sure they know." Harry sounded exasperated. "How long did she expect him to wait anyway?"
Tom shrugged his shoulders. "Who knows? I've got a date, but I suspect it will be a short one. I hope her mood improves by tomorrow."

"Oh Chakotay, you're wonderful," sighed the beautiful, stately, scantily-dressed brunette. The two of them were kissing passionately on his bed.
His door slid open and the Captain stormed in. "I want that bimbo off my ship. NOW. Commander."
The bimbo responded, "Chakotay, you didn't tell me there was somebody else." And started kissing him again.
"I didn't know there was either," he replied between the kisses. Neither were paying attention to the Captain, who was already beyond losing her temper. She pulled her super-duper multiphasic phaser compression rifle from her back and pointed it at them. "Commander, she leaves now!" She was not used to being ignored. She aimed, but couldn't decide whom to target, so she aimed for just behind them. It was an interior wall--there would be no risk of hull breach. She started to pull the trigger, but a hand reached for the rifle and stopped her.
"Kathy darling, you are so exciting when you are angry." Q said. "May I suggest an alternative." He took the rifle from her hand, winked at the babe, who winked back, and escorted the Captain back to her quarters.
