This game is a very memorable game indeed; almost every aspect is nearly perfect. It's a remake of the original, except for a few game play and graphic changes.
Story: 10/10
The story is the same as in part one of the series, but still very deep, like the MGS series should be...and always be. Without spoiling absolutely anything, I’ll just say that is takes place in Alaska. I will also say that a weapon called Metal Gear is about to be launched, and Snake has to stop it. Overall, the story is awesome.
Graphics: 8/10
The graphics in this game is beautiful. Everything is detailed and the weapons are great. It seems that everything looks good, but why did I give it an 8? I did because the character models were kind of bad and a lot of the cut scenes looked fake…very fake. Dodging bullets, jumping on top of missiles, that doesn’t seem very realistic, unlike the original. Overall, the graphics seem kind of normal.
Game play: 9/10
The game play in this game was awesome. The game mechanics are the same as Metal Gear Solid 2. That means that you can somersault, use first-person view, and much more. Some of it doesn’t just feel right though, like some of the controls were slightly better in MGS 2. Also, some of it was hard, not super hard, and just uncomfortable to do in the game. Overall, the game play is awesome.
Music: 10/10
The music is wonderful in this game…truly wonderful. The classic theme from MGS 1 is back, and the themes are the same. That means the music that you loved in the first one is here, untouched. The boss music is good; it makes you want to keep on going until the end. The music in the areas are good, it sounds very suspenseful and is perfect for sneaking around.
Pros:
Great original story.
Music is very original and makes you want to use stealth.
Environments look very detailed.
Game play is great.
Cons:
Some scenes are fake.
Game play is a tad uncomfortable.
Overall this game is awesome, a must buy if you are a game play owner, and is good to play if you are new to the series.
