Fishing

Ahh yes! The much overdue fishing page is finally up. WHat is there to say about fishing other than it totally kicks butt! There is just something about it. I've been fishing since I was knee high to a grasshopper. Now, the kind of fishing I really enjoy is somewhat different than what most people do down here in Texas. I'm sure you know what I'm talking about. You know, Bubba and his $30,000 bass boat that'll go 65 mph just so you can go tie off on a bridge or plop the troller down in a cove. Now this is all fine and dandy but...I need a little more adventure in my fishing. That's why I like fishing clear water rivers and creeks or small mountain lakes. It's just down right fun. However, many of the rivers and creeks in Texas are not very clear, so this involves traveling to areas with some hills or mountains- which also means camping! If you've been to the camping page you've seen that I like to go to Arkansas for my fishing and camping. Here are some pictures of past (and some recent) fishing adventures in Arkansas and Tennessee.

It's important to get your game face on when you head out to catch some fishes. How's about a little kiss?
Here's the Sea Eagle. We like to call it the pond pigeon. She's been a darn good boat. The ladies really like it! lol Don't ask me why, but I just decided to take a picture of the water. I do wierd stuff like that sometimes.
Check out this dude! These first 4 pics are from my recent trip to Tennessee. This is at Indian Boundary Lake. This is Pepper. She's a pretty good dog...except when she's in the boat! I had to tie her leash around my foot to keep her from chasing my bait every time I cast.
Pretty huh? This is Bald River Falls in the Cherokee National Forest of Eastern Tennessee. You probably don't want to inner tube down this! Here is the Tellico River also in the Cherokee N.F. The rocks in this river are absolutely slicker than owl sh*t! Try not to bust your @$$ on them!
Nuff Said! By the way, please excuse the hair...or lack there of. I shaved it before I went into battle with the Shady Lake bass. It seemed to have worked. This mess o' bass was the result of about 2 hours of fishing on the lake one morning. The cat on the right is my brother Rich. He bagged two bass and I got the rest, of course.
