An Introduction to Blue Dog Project, Inc.

Blue Dog Project, Inc. is an independent film company strategically placed to produce quality, lower-budgeted films oriented toward the young adult markets.  The partners involved in Blue Dog Project, Inc. have actively produced and directed video and film for over 20 years.  As President, I bring to the company 18 years experience in film and television with 8 years as a Television Operations Manager overseeing million dollar plus budgets.

Generating momentum with our first feature, UNFAIR GAME in 1996, Blue Dog Project, Inc. secured its position as one of Arizona’s newest and brightest stars in the film industry.  Filmed entirely in Arizona, UNFAIR GAME received high praise from Hollywood distribution companies and local film reviewers as an “amazing first project”.  Operating on a total cash budget of only $32,000, writer-director, Michael Kirchoff and I managed to produce a quality feature that quickly secured a Foreign Rights distribution deal.

Our conservative cost production approach, reducing expenses that neither enhance the quality of the production nor the artistic expression of the feature, allowed us to create a film with the look of one produced with a much more exhaustive budget.  In fact, David Heavener, President of Silver Lake Pictures, remarked that UNFAIR GAME has a look of a $300,000 -$500,000 feature film.

Blue Dog Project, Inc. approached the production of FOREVER MIDNIGHT with the same philosophy of conservative cost production to create a film that will appeal to the 16-25 age group.  This dramatic, character driven story takes a very real look at the challenges faced by America’s youth as they become adults in today’s world.  An extremely strong, alternative song track with the fresh new sounds of Phoenix’s most cutting-edge up and coming bands adds to the 90’s feel of FOREVER MIDNIGHT.
