This site
accepts submissions of essays about music. If you're interested in writing
an essay and having it posted on this site, e-mail
me with your idea and I'll let you know if I'm interested in publishing
it. Here
are some things to consider:
- Any
writing you submit must be completely your own. That means no plagiarizing
articles in their entirety or partially. Sparingly quoting previously
published material or comments is okay as long as you give everything
the proper attribution.
- You
will not get paid for writing an essay, no matter how long or good
it is, or how much work you put into it. This site is completely nonprofit,
and no money changes hands.
- If your
essay is approved to be published on the site, the text will be edited
for spelling, grammar and punctuation. Please do not type essays in
all caps or all lowercase.
- I'll
accept essays on a variety of subjects as long as they're related
to music, but this is not a forum for self-promotion or promotion
of any specific artist, company, website, etc.
- You
may, however, include a tagline at the end of your essay that briefly
tells who you are, and you may include one web link in that tagline,
such as your own website or your band's website. (Example: Patrick
Domostroy is a music enthusiast living in New York City)
- I make
no guarantees that every proposed essay will be accepted; therefore,
I suggest you tell me about your idea before you actually write the
essay.
