June 6, 2003 Four in Court over Limerick Arms Siezure


Declan Sheehy, with an address in Limerick City, and Michael Scanlon, with an address in Askeaton, Co Limerick, are both charged with possession of an explosive substance and a Sterling sub-machine gun at Loughmore, Mungret, on 3 June.

Richard Smith and his son Sean Smith, with addresses at Loughmore, Mungret are charged with controlling an explosive substance and possession of a machine gun on the same date.

All four were remanded in custody to appear at the District Court again next Wednesday. There was no application for bail.
