To most Irish people, Death Valley is know for being the hottest place on earth. This is indeed true, but it is also a place of surreal, barren landscapes like nothing I had seen before. And it IS hot, the thermometer at Badwater showed 105°F (45°C) at 6pm. See the story in pictures below.
