Half Around The World In 80 Days |
I was born with the same wanderlust that had previously infected numerous members of the Foley family. However fate and fear conspired to keep me rooted in Ireland until now. Finally as my twenties sailed towards their conclusion I decided it was time to act. After much thought on the subject I decided that I wanted to move to somewhere that the weather was hot, English-speaking, where I could work legally. Australia was the answer to these requirements, so that is where I have gone for now. Rather that fly directly from the Emerald Isle to the Land Down Under, I thought I might as well see some of the world in between; this is a brief report on those travels with some photographs along the way.
After months of hectic preparation, Thursday September 2nd was the day when my departure could no longer be put off. Below are some of the family, friends and pets who make life in Ireland worthwhile.
