Reflections on my Portfolio

I feel that my writing has improved as a result of this class. I have learned new research techniques and ways to organize my information. However, I felt that there was too much work to be done. I found myself overloaded with work. I feel my best essay was the second argumentative essay on why schools should start later in the day. My information was clear and it was very convincing. I worked very hard on it and had enough time to work on it. The peer comments showed how well the essay was written. I believe my worst written essay was the research paper on PTSD. There was a lot of information that needed to be sorted out, which became confusing at times. And after doing the index cards, the essay and the power point were boring. I was already sick of the subject. I felt that while the information was clear in the essay, the writing did not hold everything together. More time to work on the essay would have improved the quality of it. I hope I can apply what I have learned in this class into future essays for college and such.
