The annual Club Meeting will be held on Nov 30, prior to Rd 1 of the Invitational. The purpose of this brief meeting will be to ratify bylaws, TD's for next year, and finalize the 2006 scheudule. This meeting usually only takes 15-20 minutes. If you have any ideas about ways we could improve the club or events for next year please let us know. We hope everyone will attend the meeting and play in the Invitational/Memorial, which is the 2nd most important event of the year.

November Schedule:

  • Nov 2 - no chess
  • Nov 9, 16 - Action tournament. 6-SS, G/25 (3 rds/night, quick rated)
  • Nov 23 - Brask tournament
  • Nov 30 - Invitational/Memorial begins

Over the next few weeks we will be transitioning to new (club-owned) web space and there will be some new people (Chris and Jack) working on the pages. Therefore updates may be made at different times of the week and we will lose some files when we move to the new space. The look of the pages may change also. We appreciate your patience during this transition period.

The Sven Brask Chess Club is dedicated to the enjoyment of chess in a friendly, low-key atmosphere. We meet Wednesday nights from 7:30-11:30 year-round, and feature monthly USCF-rated tournaments, as well as skittles and blitz. We also feature special events throughout the year such as the Brask tournament, a unique format where you score points based on the number of moves it takes to win your game. Our membership includes all levels of players from beginner to master. Please clink on the menu links on the left to learn more about the club.
