Why just sit still when you can have
so much more fun traveling.
Ever since I was a little boy I have enjoyed it, but not really experienced
enough until the last couple of years. In the early nineties I had some trips to
England, and mid-nineties I was involved in furniture business doing some trips
to furniture markets in the USA. On one of those trips I even managed to shake
the hands of Bill Clinton in Nashville!!!! I know you don't believe me, but it
is true.
I also need to mention very briefly all the cool motorcycle trips I had during the eighties and nineties. I have seen the most of Norway south of Trondheim including the beautiful west coast with its fjords, have driven through Denmark several times down to Flensburg in Germany, and once even driving on the south/west of Sweden.
We were some
friends also having a cracking holiday to England starting with the ferry from
Stavanger to Newcastle, driving to the south of England taking the ferry from
Folkstone to Oostende in Belgium. From there we drove through Belgium, the
Netherlands, Germany and Denmark before catching the ferry from Hirtshals on the
north of Denmark to Kristiansand in Norway. That was about 3000km in 1 week.
When I decided on leaving my beloved home country in April
2000, I have
experienced things I only used to dream about. From famous tourist cities to smaller
places
were hardly any tourists drop by. The small places are the exciting part. You
don't see all tourists with maps in their hands wondering where they are (except
some smiling Japanese persons taking pictures. They are everywhere!). You also "feel" the local community
more underneath
their skin.
Unfortunately have I not been too good shooting pictures, but I am getting better!
Pictures on this page have nothing to do with the text provided. I just don't have any others pictures for time being! This page will be updated with more information! Webmaster.
