Infernal Darkling
by Robert M. Velkym
Two people strolled down the windy street of a beautiful park holding
each other's hand. They stopped along side a park bench in a dark secluded
part of the path. They were unaware that this bench as to be their death
bed and they would never see the light of day again....
"O Bobby, I love you. Take me right here" she motioned to
the bench and gave the man, Bob, a small sexy smile.
"Suzanne..." He tried to reply as she kissed him on the lips,
long and hard. A small holly bush rustled in the breeze. Bob glanced from
his lover's guise to the sight the passion gawing at his mind. The snap
of an unmistakable foot step on a twig rang over the lust. He jerked his
head up to locate its source.
"What is it lover?" She cooed at him, her seductive eyes looking
him over.
"It's probably nothing. Where were we?" He kissed her and
then something caught the corner of his eye. He turned and looked over.
A lone woman stood not ten feet from him. She was clad in a sheer white
dress that clung to her perfect form. She motioned for Bob, blowing him
a kiss. Bob rose subconsciously and move towards the mysterious woman.
Suzanne screamed and kicked at Bob. Bob simply looked down at her and
smiled. An utterly demonic urge came over him as he looked from the woman
to Suzanne and he wanted her, but not for her love... for blood. He glanced
back at his beautiful attractor. All he saw was darkness with a single
light flickering in the far away background. He looked back at his love
Suzanne and the woman hit him full force. She struck him and they land
onto the damp grass of morning. He struggled to get up and she bit him.
He could feel her teeth sink into the soft flesh of his neck, a sharp pain
then he was in ecstasy.
It was if he was in heaven, a huge smile crosses his face as he arched
his back and moaned softly. Then the pleasure, the woman and the sucking
was gone. He looked around but she was nowhere to be found, a weakness
he had never known was in his body. He felt water falling on him, but it
wasn't raining. Some strange dripping substance fell on his lips. He looked
up into the now lightening sky and saw the woman hovering above his head.
He could see he velumputious form clearly now and he wanted her.
He gave a small cry and began to drink the stuff. It tasted of copper
and was so good. Then it was done, she was gone and the night was still.
The dawn was upon him, he was to caught up in the ordeal to notice. He
was changing inside, he could feel it. His skin became taunt, his muscles
growing and hardening, his senses sharpening. The light from the sky burned
his eyes, the wind was deafening, the blades of grass hurt his hands. He
screamed in pain at his new environment. Suzanne ran to her fallen lover.
"Robert! Robert! Please god make him be all right!" She cradled
his body in her arms, praying and sobbing. "No, no, no, no, no, no,
no..." Bob stirred and reach for her. "You're all right!!!"
She kissed him and is met by his returning kiss. He soothed her hair, calming
her and reassuring her at the same time. He kissed her on the mouth, then
her cheek, then her neck. His tongue made small circles on the soft, scented
skin of her neck.
He opened his eyes and looked at her face. Her eyes were closed, her
mouth was half open in a look of utter pleasure, a low moan was on her
supple lips. He could see something new. He saw the blood pulsing through
the skin. The veins going to her heart and the arteries going from her
heart. He was kissing with increasing passion. The main artery was on his
lips, he licked it gently.
"Ooohhh, that's it lover..." Suzanne was in ecstasy. He opened
his mouth wider to place her into his mouth, his teeth nibbled at her neck,
then he felt that demonic urge. He ran his tongue over his teeth, the two
canine teeth were definitely larger. He nibbled harder, breaking the skin.
"Oh baby, why haven't you... Mmm... done this to me before?"
She moaned. He felt her warm, thick blood flow into his mouth. He sucked
and drank, the blood filling his stomach, warming him to the point that
he might pass out. He could feel her growing colder, she was beyond all
rational thought, caught in his rapture. They were both too far gone, mental
organisms raked their bodies, they cried out in unison.
Bob pulled from her and looked at her. She lay still, no air was being
drawn into her lungs, her lips were a deep blue, and her skin was pale
white. Tears fell down his face, he is in disbelief, what had he done?
"Suzanne?" He asked in a shaky voice, shaking her slightly.
"Suzanne, stop playing.... SUZANNE NO..." his head falls back
as he pleas with the gods. "My love. My life. You shall be avenged."
Now he cradled her in his arms, in a futile attempt to warm her dead body.
