This page is dedicated for climbing stuff. It includes also in- and outdoor climbing as much as what I have done or studied. So I use this page as a diary or portfolio. |

|
Ropes are basically of two different types. Dynamic rope stretches when loaded, so in the case of falling it softens the fall. It is mostly used when danger of falling exists. Static rope doesn't stretch nearly so much and is therefore used more in abseiling. |

Carabins are used to connect ropes, slings, prussiks etc. Basically there are ones with locks and ones without. In harness a carabin with lock should always be used. |

|
ATC is a belaying device. It provides bigger friction than figure 8. |
|
|
Harness is something that helps You to connect yourself to rope or something else. If You just tie yourself to rope, it might hurt a bit (unless harness made of rope). It should always be checked before going into action. |

Helmet should be weared always when there is even a slightest change something to hit to head. It may feel uncomfortable, but when shit happens, You understand. WARNING! You are responsible for your safety. You should not climb if You are not sure how to use equipment properly. |

A sling. It has many uses, mostly when making non-movable points for rope. A runner two carabins connected by sling, they are used to make secure points where to put the rope to go through. Slings could also be used to climb to a tree. |
