I know that it probably sounds stupid to not like a band just for something their fans did, but it happened. At times I've almost become a full fledged NSYNC fan, but I stopped before it got to serious. I don't wanna sound all "I can only like on band" here, but I really feel that there should only be one band that I care intensly about. Thus, that's what I've done. I can obsess about BSB and not feel stupid. Not saying that I feel normal taping every show they're on, but I believe that if I did that for everyone I might feel a little stupid. Don't think that by saying this I only like BSB, because that is so not true. Eminem is a very, very close second and I have taped some shows because he's been on them. I just don't want to be drawn into what I like to call "The Wrath Of NSYNC" for several reasons.

I really have no problem with them dissing Backstreet. It's kind of a normal thing nowadays for fans to diss the "rival" groups so I'm not saying that. It's just that they don't know when to stop. I don't want to sound like I think BSB fans are perfect little angels because I know that isn't true. They too have done things that has made me ashamed to be in their "league." But NSYNC fans... Oh God. If I was a full fledged NSYNC fan I would never be able to live it up. I could never admit it. Why? They're immature teenyboppers who can't take a joke if their lives depended on it. And everyone knows that. Granted I know a lot about them, and I keep up with the latest NSYNC news, but I try to stay away from the fans. So that's what I'm fickle about. It's not NSYNC, it's the fans.

I'm not saying that all of their fans are like this, but about 98% of the ones I've met/talked to have been. And it's annoying. It's annoying to say "No, I don't really like NSYNC that much, I prefer Backstreet" and to get a response of a laugh or a "They are so not in." If I talk to someone and they're a Hanson fan, I won't say anything. Granted I don't like Hanson, but I would never just laugh or make a comment because they aren't the "hottest thing" at the moment. By saying that it proves that you can only like what's "in" at the moment, and won't give anyone else a chance. It shows that you're immature. And this is what most NSYNC fans seem to be. I know that they're more popular at the moment with the release of NSA and all it's success, so I give them that. I just never forgot my favorite band. A lot people would ask me who it was and I felt stupid saying BSB because I knew that they weren't currently "in." I mean, I know I shouldn't feel that way, but I do.

I hate when NSYNC fans say that they didn't just start liking them when Bye Bye Bye came out, and then you ask them how long they've been a fan and that's their answer. Okay... Yeah. I haven't really explained why I really dislike them yet, so I'll start. When NSA came out, they made this huge "Say bye bye bye to Backstreet, by as many copies of NSA as you can on the first day, NSYNC's here to stay!" deal. [For more, go here.] A lot of the fans went out and bought 5 copies of the cd. Not to have 5, but to beat Millenium's record. They succeeded, and rubbed it in everyone's face. I know what they did was wrong, and they should know it too, but the only thing that really gets me pissed it how it was rubbed in my face so much. "Oh you like BSB? Well NSYNC broke their record, so hahaha, you suck!" Oh yeah, I'm feeling the maturity. When BSB made that record did they harass fans of Garth Brooks by telling them that they sucked? Um, let me think... No. I call it being mature, it's a good thing. It also gives your band a reputation. If you ask a random guy about NSYNC fans I bet you $100 that he'll say how stupid they are. Because of all this, they have a repuation for being self-centered and teenybopper-like. Not a good thing to be in.

NSYNC fans can't get their facts straight either. The whole Burger King/McDonalds things is an example. BSB signed to do it first, but the commercials aired later so they "Copied NSYNC." Bullshit. Go read the article on MTV.com, you'll see the truth. Or, watch BSB's video, there's footage from the Millenium Tour which ended in March; including them talking to the camera. How can anyone forget the talking burger? LoL.

Anyway, I think that's all I have to say for now. I might add stuff later, but that's it for now. It's my opinon of why NSYNC fans suck and if you don't agree then fine.
