Here is where I tell you my opinion on the man groups and pop stars and rank members of the man groups. I originally had an explanation for each of them, but it was too much work. I'm lazy.
BSB: I love them. BSB is the one group that can always put a smile on my face, can always make me laugh, can always make me lust after their hotness, can always make me swoon to the harmonies, can always make feel like dancing, can always make me feel their sadness, and everything else good in the world, they can do it to me. I've been a fan for about 5 years now, and I haven't liked anyone else musically for that amount of time ever. I think what I like the most about them is that they're the real thing. They're real people. When the guys came on TRL to announce that AJ was entering rehab, Nick was so upset that he was crying and didn't say one word and Kevin was choking back tears the whole time. They've always told their fans when they have girlfriends and exactly how they're feeling. I like that in a group. I have a feeling that BSB will be the one group that I remember always.
Current Ranking: AJ, Nick, Brian, Kevin, Howie.
NSYNC: I like them. I do. But I don't love them. I go to their concerts, I buy their cds, I read the magazines they're in, but that's it. No NSYNC pillows for me. I know that I'm allowed to like both groups -- and that I do -- but I just can't respect them to the level that I respect BSB. For example, Justin & Britney have been dating for almost 3 years and have been public about it less than 1. Honesty is a good thing to have in the relationship between a group and its fans. I also get weird feelings about the realtionship they have with each other [In a friend way, you sicko!] because it seems that they act a bit fake sometimes. To sum it up, I like them and I can deal with them being around a few more years, but if one group lasts longer, I'd prefer it to be BSB.
Current Ranking: JC, Lance, Chris, Joey, Justin.
Britney Spears: Oh, God. When I started this site, I hated her. I went through periods in my life when I thought she was the worst thing to ever happen to the entertainment industry. However, as time when by, I realized that she wasn't so bad. I even started to like her. A lot. And now, as I sit here writing this in December of 2001 -- More than 2 years after my Britney hating and the opening of this site -- I'm a huge fan. Maybe she doesn't sing live, but she is an awesome performer. She dances her ass off and isn't afraid to go the extra mile with her fashion style. At times she may look a little hoey, but it works for her. I'm incredibly jealous of her stomach and plan on a getting abs like that. To sum is up, I love Britney. She can get on with her bad self.
Christina Aguilera: I used to really like her. I really did. But all of that changed. She suddenly became this bitchy, self-centered ho, that I couldn't see myself enjoying anymore. I still like her music, but as a person, she's awful. And her image is terrible. She obviously has an eating disorder, being as skinny as she is. There's nothing wrong with being thin. But I've seen her eat [Gotta love Diary], and she ordered the whole menu! However, she keeps getting thinner and thinner. I think she's bulemic, but that's just me. She doesn't look attractive in the things she wears and she needs to go back to her old self. I respected the old her.
Mandy Moore: I didn't really used to like her either. But her last cd [The self-titled one] is so good. She really has changed. This chick is real. She acts and dresses like the 17 year old that she is. She has backup plans. If her singing career doesn't go well, she has movies. She has modeling. She has tv hosting. She has everything. I think she sets a really good example for young girls of the world and that's why she's my 2nd favorite of the pop stars. [You can't get past Britney's awesomeness.]
Jessica Simpson: Once again, my opinion changed. I used to think she was awesome too. But when her 2nd cd came out, she changed her image. She starting dressing and acting just how she always said she wouldn't. I remember reading a quote from her once that said how she "Would never prance around in hot pants and a bra." But look at her. Is that not what she's doing? Yeah, she has the body for it, but that doesn't mean she has to act the way she does. I still love her voice, her image just needs work.
Willa Ford: Um... Okay. For a while I hated her. It was simply for the Nick thing though. As soon as I heard her first single, I changed my mind. I really liked that song. The video was hoey, but she was the bad girl of pop. I thought that was fun. I eventually bought her cd and enjoy listening to it. Her personality is different from all of the others and that's something that I like. If she would stop dressing the way she does and maybe cover up a little, more respect would come from me. Although the Nick thing will always remain in the back of my mind when I see her. I can't help it.
Current Ranking: Britney, Mandy, Willa, Jessica, Christina.
