The ealiest known ancestor of the Versch family in the Wertheim area was Valentin Fersch, born about 1565. Little else is known of this man.

Matthaeus Vers / Fersch, born about 1595. Married to Dorothea. Died November 1646 at Hasselberg and was burried 10 November 1646 at Hasloch.

Eucharius (I) Vers / Fers, born February 1620 in Hasselberg the son of Matthaeus Vers / Fersch and Dorothea. Married 14 August 1649 in Kreutzwertheim to Agnes Burkhardt, the daughter of Matthias Burkhardt and Anna Elizabeth. Resided in Hasselberg, Bestenheid and after 1685 in Wertheim. Eucharius died April 1712 and was burried 10 April 1712 in Wertheim. Wife Agnes Burkhardt was born about 1615. She first married Michael Schmidt 23 June 1635 in Bestenheid. She died the end of October 1689 and was burried in Bestenheid.

Eucharius Vers, born January 1651 in Hasselberg. Baptized 15 January 1651 at Hasloch. The son of Eucharius Vers. He was Married 14 November 1671 in Wertheim to Catharina Hickler. He died in Bestenheid and was burried on 29 April 1692 in Wertheim.Catharina Hickler born March 1650 in Bestenheid. She was baptized 17 March 1650 at Wertheim. She was the daughter of Peter Hickler (II) and Agnes Burckhard. She was married second to Johannes Dosch of Hasloch on 22 October 1693. Third she was married to Georg Schwab the Mayor of Guenenwort on 20 May 1704. She died October 1726 at Greunenwort and was burried 25 October 1726 at Wertheim.

iv. Vers Agnes, born 16 March 1682 in Bestenheid. Married 30 May 1702 Johann Valentin Daubenschmid.

v. Vers Margaretha, born 31 July 1684 in Bestenheid.
Married 15 April 1704 Johann Mercker.

Johann Georg Vers was born 19 July 1673 in Bestenheid, the son of Eucharius Vers and Catharina Hickler. He was baptzed the next day at the Lutheran church in Wertheim. Georg was married to Anna Maria Freundenberger on 5 February 1704 in Wertheim. She was the daughter of Peter Freundenberger and Christina Pahl. Georg died in Bestenheid September 1733 and was burried in Wertheim on the 1st of October. His wife Anna Maria was born 31 December 1681 at Greunenwoert and died 19 June 1742 in Bestenheid. She was also burried in Wertheim on 21 June 1742.

ii. Vers Johann Adam, born 27 June 1707 in Bestenheid. Married 15 February 1735 at Michelsreith and then moved to Altfeld.

iii. Vers Johann Georg, born 7 October 1712 in Bestenheid. Married 11 February 1738 to Margaretha Ebert, Died 31 July 1791.

iv. Son stillborn on 29 November 1715 in Bestenheid.

v. Vers Catharina Margaretha, born 28 January 1718 in Bestenheid.

+ vi. Vers Johann Wilhelm

Johann Wilhelm Vers was born 5 February 1723 in Bestenheid. The son of Johann Georg Vers and Anna Maria Freundenberger. He was married in Wertheim on 18 August 1744 to Anna Kunigunda Dosch the daughter of Johann Christoph Dosch and Anna Barbara Eckstein. Johann Wilhelm died 6 May 1793 in Bestenheid. He was burried 8 May 1793 at Wertheim. His wife Anna Kunigunda died by accident. She drowned in the Main river on 21 April 1775 as she tried to cross from Bestenheid to Wertheim.
