GREAT country music!!
This music is upbeat and original, great for dancing or just listening. Fans of Fort Worth West have eagerly awaited the release of this CD! The music has influences from Cajun, bluegrass and rock. The tunes are "catchy" enough to captivate even non-country music fans. Definitely a CD worth having.

Fort Worth West is simply the BEST!
This is great country music. The songs are upbeat and exciting and perfect for dancing. "Mardi Gras Romance" and "Tee Marie" are Cajun delights, fanciful and fun. "Tush Pushin" makes you want to run out on the dance floor to strut your stuff. If you want to hold hands and get close to someone special, try "Prettiest Eyes in California" or "Heaven So Close." Then there is always "Then Came You" for some real rockin' country! I love the fact that different band members are featured in each song. The variety really adds to the unique quality of this CD. From the perfect harmony to the great lyrics (which are included), this is an outstanding example of country music at it's best. You will definitely want to add this CD to your collection.

Rock and Blues News Review: Feb-March 99 (Sacramento CA)

Fort Worth West, self titled (DJM). Normally, we wouldn't review a country CD. But when artists like Albert Lee and Delbert McClinton lend their name to plug the music, we've got to at least give it a serious listen. And, what we heard deserves a plug. The group from Texas obviously, has paid more than their share of dues. Bill Horn is a CMA guitarist of the year. The other three members of the group are in demand session musicians and vocalists. The music is not really modern country, nor is it retro-country. What it is, is fresh, inventive and very listenable. Even a little bit like the Eagles. Best cuts are the rollicking "That's All" and "Coyote Love." (Cotton)

Texas-based quartet Fort Worth West deliver an energetic set of original tunes with highlight tracks coming in entries featuring the lead vocals of Candy Chase (Love's Borderline / Like A Chain / Then Came You). A Candy Chase / Bill Horn duet "Til I Met You" also comes off as one of the class cuts on the package.
