Pathological Teeth

Commonality - Uncommon

Pathological teeth are uncommon and are of interest to some collectors. Pathological teeth are usually the result of feeding damage to the tooth when it is immature and still soft; as the tooth matures it becomes deformed as a result of the initial damage. I include this as a section only because these teeth can cause confusion. Be aware, that new species of shark that you believe to have discovered may be a pathological tooth.
