Pseudohypolophus mcnultyi (Cappetta and Case)
aka Hypolophus mcnultyi

These teeth are small, averaging between 2 and 3 mm reaching a maximum of about 5mm.
The crown has a smooth enamel and the shape is "weakly" hexagonal. The root has a deep nutrient groove with one or more central foramen being present. These teeth are very similar to the cow nosed rays, but are smaller and have a more rounded look to the crown.
 

The average size of these teeth is between 2 and 3 mm, with a max of about
5 mm.
 

Described as being "weakly" hexagonal in shape, most teeth
appear more round, with only the slightest suggestion of being
hexagonal in shape.  
 

Unlike the cow nosed rays, the crown of P. mcnultyi has a
more rounded look.
 

The nutrient grove is deep and one or more central foramen may
be present. These may be very difficult to spot on smaller speciments.
 

Using a dime gives a good perspective of the average tooth size.
