Tullis Branch Manager.

The minutes of the May 12th meeting were read. There was a correction on the letters. Geraldine's fund raiser letters need to be sent in September. Motion was made, seconded and passed to accept the minutes with that change.

The Treasurer reported there is a balance of $1,495.26 in the bank with bills paid up to date. A letter for donations will be sent to Friendswood Development Debbie reported that boxes of thank you, birthday and sympathy card along with stamps have been purchased for Friends. A motion to open a separate bank account for donations was made, seconded and passed. Cheryl will go to the bank and set it up. This will be the "furnishings" account. Previous donations of $275.00 will be transferred to this account.

The problem on the water bill was missing invoices. Copies were sent to Cheryl and we are current.

There will be a public hearing in Commissioner's Court at 9:30 a.m., Monday, June 16th covering the new library issues. Judge Sadler would appreciate input and feedback.

Atria Assisted Living donated 10 tubs of paper back and hard back books to us. We will need a table to put them on in the library in order to sell them. Dan will check into a place a table can be put.

A motion was made to instruct Dan to look for a suitable location in the library and to purchase a table if he finds a place, with the provision that any use other than the selling of the Friend's book must go thru the Friend's board. Motion was seconded and passed.

Dan said there were 410 patrons thru the doors on Tuesday, 390 on Wednesday and 375 on Monday. Thirty tickets for summer reading are being handed out per program. Fifteen children were turned away last week. So far, 308 children have signed up and 74 youths. He also told us the murals will be changing this month. The old one will be removed and revised and a new one will be hung in the meeting room. The names of the students working on the mural will be framed.

The next meeting will be Monday, July 14th at 6:30 p.m.

There being no further business to discuss, motion was made, seconded and passed to adjourn meeting at 7:20 P.M.
