The Lights Go On Again
by Kit Pearson

What Got me Interested
I got interested in this book after reading "A Handful Of Time"-the first of Kit Pearson's books that I read-it was such a good book, making me want to read on and on so I immediately bought another book by her and then another and another and so on.
"The Lights Go On Again" is the third book in a trilogy called the "Guests Of War" trilogy. I have read all of Kit Pearson's books, including "A Handful Of Time", "The Daring Game" and more.

Retell
In this book, Gavin and his sister Norah have been living in Toronto, Canada, for just over 5 years now with the Ogilvie family because of the second world war going on in Europe at the time. Their real home is back in England with their parents. But Gavin remembers nothing of home as he was only 5 years old when he left and knows only Aunt Florence as his mother. Then, the war ends meaning that he and his sister must return to England, but then something horrible happens and Gavin is forced to make a huge decision.

Recommendation
I would recommend this book to anyone who is about 11 years and up, because it has a big meaning that really makes you think, and is written for about that age level. It is very well written and a great read always making you want to keep on reading, drawing your full attention to the story. You should probably read the first of the trilogy first, but even if you don't, it is still a very good book.
