The book life 'In the fast lane', by Cherie Benett, is the story of a girl named Lara. Lara's life is perfect: she's pretty, skinny, popular, nice, smart and many other things. But all that changes when Lara's put on a drug called Prednisone, to control her allergies. This drug makes her retain water in her body, and makes her eat more, so she gains weight. The doctor didn't want to take her off the drug, because her allergies would become really bad. So Lara just kept gaining weight. Does Lara ever lose the weight and get her life back? What got me interested in reading this book, was that my friend had read it, and she had told me about it. So I decided to read it. No, I have not read any other books by Cherie Benett, but she is a very talented author and I would read another book written by her. |

I would recommend this book to mainly girls because it discusses very girlie subjects and problems that happen to Lara. I would also recommend this book because I almost guarantee that after you read it, you will feel better about yourself. |
