This was shared with me a couple years ago by a dear friend Molly. I haven't tried it yet but will be soon.
1 (18 1/4oz box) plain devils food or dark chocolate fudge cake mix
1 (3.9 oz) package chocolate instant pudding mix
4 large eggs
1 cup sour cream
1/2 cup warm water
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1 1/2 semisweet chocolate chips
Place a rack in the center of the oven and preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
Lightly grease your 12 cup bundt pan and flour (bakers joy works wonders for this)
Place the cake mix, pudding mix, eggs, sour cream, warm water and oil in a large mixing bowl. Blend with an electric mixer at low speed for 1 minute. Stop the mixer and scrape down the sides with a rubber spatula. Increase mixer speed and beat until the batter looks thick and well combined.
Fold in the chocolate chips, making sure they are well distributed. Pour batter in bundt cake pan. cook for 45 - 55 minutes. Your cake should spring back when lightly pressed with your finger and just starts to pull away from sides of pan.
Remove the pan from the oven and place on a wire rack to cool for 30 minutes. Run a long knife around the edge of the cake and invert it onto rack to completely cool 20 minutes more.
Serve warm.
