| Ingredients : | |
| self-raising flour | 125 g |
| baking powder | 1/2 tsp |
| caster sugar | 50 g |
| soft margarine | 50 g |
| milk | 50 ml |
| egg | 1 no. |
| apple (M) | 1 no. |
Method : |

| 1. Preheat oven to 180¢J. Line patty tin with paper cases. | |
| 2. Peel and quarter apple, remove core. Cut apple into 5mm cubes. | |
| 3. Cream margarine and sugar together until light and fluffy. | |
| 4. Sift flour into the mixing bowl. Add in beaten egg and milk. Beat until just mixed, do not over beat. | |
| 5. Spoon mixture into patty tin, filling the holes two-thirds full. | |
| 6. Bake 15 minutes or until puffed and browned. Turn onto wire rack to cool. Serve warm with butter. | |
